For the past ten years, the Anti-Defamation League has introduced its federal hate crime bill into Congress five times – and lost. ADL claims to have the purest intentions---concern that federal power is needed if a state does not have a hate crimes law or is unwilling or unable to punish a hate crime. ADL insisted passage of a federal hate crimes law would change little: the vast majority of prosecutions of hate crimes will be initiated by states.

With hopes of passage of its federal hate bill virtually ended in Congress, the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith lashed out against those most responsible: New Right Evangelicals. ADL contends such Christians have too much power, threatening freedom of choice in America. At ADL's national convention in New York City on Nov. 10, director Abe Foxman mourned: "Today we face a better financed, more sophisticated, coordinated, unified, energized, and organized coalition of groups in opposition to our policy positions on church-state separation than ever before. Their goal is to implement their Christian worldview. To Christianize America. To save us!"

Abraham H. Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith, believes anti-Semitism will last as long as Christians accept the New Testament's "lie" that the ancient Pharisees were responsible for the death of Christ.1
In his recent book, Never Again? The Threat of the New Anti-Semitism2, Foxman claims this "deadly"3 deception has caused untold Jewish suffering through the millennia. Such New Testament-generated hate culminated in the Holocaust, he claims - but it breaks out afresh as the "Christ-killers" charge is inferred in Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ and readings from the "anti-Semitic" Christian story at Easter.
