ANSWER Doesn't Have a Realistic Answer to End the War

An
anti-war organization such as ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) may
not “in its heart sincerely welcome Jewish participation” precisely because of
Amy’s stated beliefs as follows:
“In
other words, the rallies must focus on the war and America, not on
Israel/Palestine and the broader Arab struggle. While a broader
focus might be more politically "correct" from ANSWER's point of
view, it is not politically expedient when it comes to building a
broad coalition that can end the US war in Iraq.”
The fact is that most Americans who are truly anti-war realize that, indeed, the
war on Iraq (and the general US/Israeli war against the Arab world) is a direct
outcome of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This must be addressed head-on.
The fact is that most Jewish people, or people who base their identity on being
Jewish , refuse to believe and accept this. They refuse to accept their
complicity in all of this. They refuse to believe that there is something wrong
with a Jewish supremacist state such as Israel is, and will find all kinds of
conflicting arguments to support why there should be a Jewish supremacist state
such as Israel is. They refuse to acknowledge that the NeoCon movement is
pushed by Zionists. They refuse to acknowledge that the US media is dominated by
Zionists who propagandize the American public about Israel as “the only
democracy in the Middle East” etc., and omit, suppress and obfuscate negative
aspects of Israel and the negative impact of our government’s special
relationship with Israel has on the general American public.
Look at how ridiculous it would be if anti-apartheid (in South Africa) and
anti-segregation (in the US) activists held signs at
anti-apartheid/anti-segregation rallies declaring “Two states for two peoples!”,
yet this is exactly what the signs carried by Jewish “progressives” and
“liberals” say at anti-war rallies. Somehow most Jewish people do not realize
their hypocrisy and the irony of it. Many acknowledge it but refuse to take
action to change things. Fortunately, there are some courageous Jewish
activists, many of whom can be found on my website.
The problem is that most Jewish people seem to think they should have special
privileges and they support the work of Jewish activists in our government that
make special laws just for supporters of Israel and Jewish people in general:
the special dual citizenship between the US and Israel that is allowed for
Jewish people, the special law that makes giving money directly to Israel
tax-deductible, the special law that makes it illegal and finable for US
companies to boycott Israel (an apartheid country), the special law against a
census to determine how many Jewish people are citizens of the US, the special
law that requires the US to help Israel with its oil supply, the special several
billion “loan guarantees” made up of Americans’ tax dollars that go to Israel
every year interest-free that never have to be paid back and never are paid
back, the special pipeline from Iraq to Haifa that Jewish politicians want the
US to “give” to Israel for “its support of the Iraq war” as a “bonus”, and so
on. Most Jewish people also seem to think the Holocaust is more special and
more important than any other persecution that any group of people has faced in
history.
Most Jews do not want to give up their “special” status in the United States and
will do everything to maintain it. This is obvious. Most, but not all, Jewish
people therefore attempt to sabotage the anti-war movement, whether consciously
or unconsciously. So, it is difficult to deal with Jewish people in the
anti-war movement because many Jewish people will accuse others who don’t agree
with them as being “anti-Semitic” and worse— they may even call the ADL and
other Jewish organizations to keep a watch on them and perhaps even to
intimidate them. Most anti-war activists realize that the ADL and other Jewish
groups do not care about the rights of Arabs and Muslims, and in fact actively
try to defame and intimidate many Americans who are working to achieve justice
for the Palestinians, such as completely equal rights before the law in
Palestine-Israel, the Palestinian refugees’ right to return, and massive
reparations due to all Palestinians from Israel, the Jewish Diaspora, and the
United States government.
