FBI/Congressional Record on King

A Prosperous Economy or Economic Propaganda?

Recently, I came across a curious article by the Associated Press, Inflation Has Best Showing in 3 Years.  The article said that the Labor Department reported that consumer prices rose 2.5 percent, and this was somehow a good thing.  The article went on to suggest that this was indeed an "improvement."

Perhaps, I'm not as "brilliant" as these economists, but I fail to understand how, having to pay more for things, is an improvement by any means.  I'm sure that they can invent myriads of reasons why this is somehow good, but, in reality, their logic is flawed at the least, and outright lying propaganda at the worst.

Further compounding this nonsensical verbiage designed to confuse people with the economic, to put it bluntly, "b.s.,"  the government also reported that the average earnings by average workers rose only 2.1 percent in this time.

In other words, while things now cost 2.5 percent more than they did last year, we're only making 2.1 percent more--that is to say, most folks now can purchase 0.4 percent less than they were able to buy the previous year.

I fail to understand how being able to purchase less is a good thing.

Perhaps, the government is looking at it from the angle of greedy corporations--who elect the lying politicians who oversee the various propaganda mills that churn out the nonsensical blabber about our robust economy-- in that they'll now have to PAY their workers 0.4 percent less, with all things considered.

Further confusing the issues--or ignoring the economic plight--it was reported that energy costs had "a significant slowdown."  Significant?  Well, despite costs on average going up 2.5 percent (and raises only going up 2.1 percent for workers), energy costs rose 2.9 percent.  However, in better news, the gouging was less than the 16.6 percent increase in 2004 and the 17.1 percent increase in 2005.  So, consumers weren't ripped-off as much in previous years--if that's somehow a good thing--but were nevertheless ripped off by these Economic Energy Bandits.

The economic nonsense continued further in the article.  It said that "Core Inflation, which excludes volatile energy and food costs, rose 2.6 percent in 2006, up from gains in both 2004 and 2005...."

So, this is somehow a good thing that we're paying 2.6 percent more for things other than gas and food (which defies reality, when you consider that the article just said energy costs were up 2.9 percent, and I've seen recent grocery bills)?

Apparently, this Core Inflation is, according to the article, reviewed by the usurers who control the Federal Reserve.  The Federal Reserve uses it to justify raising interest rates.  And, according to this article that really insults the intelligence of humanity, the Federal Reserve has "raised interest rates at 17 consecutive meetings as a way of slowing overall growth to keep inflation under control."

So, not only do people have considerably less purchasing-power than they did a year ago, but now we're having to also pay more interest to the usurers who control the Federal Reserve.  And we're all told that this is somehow good--with salary increases not keeping up with inflation, energy costs going through the roof, and interest rates on the increase.

I guess someone would have to have be extremely gullible or have an IQ in the near-retarded level to understand how all these things are somehow "good" for us.

Now, more than ever, America needs an elected leadership who promote honesty and integrity--not the same old lies by these charlatans who tell us bad things are good, and good things are bad.  We need to put the present charlatans on trial before a jury of the people for the political lies and for holding the American economy hostage.
