Indictment for AIPAC heads and Franklin Now Online
Something Might Actually Happen to America's Number One Foreign Spies
by Mark Farrell
Things are not looking very good for for the former heads of the American Israel
Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and Larry Franklin, a former member of the
Pentagon who worked in the Office of the Secretary of Defense under Douglas
Feith. They stand accused of crimes that may land them in jail for
decades.
While Feith himself hasn't been charged yet, there is no telling what the Grand
Jury may turn up, as this spy ring runs deep and reportedly has links throughout
Washington's inner-chambers.
In addition to Franklin and a couple heads of AIPAC, there are several FOs
(Foreign Officials) mentioned in the indictment, who may also eventually be
charged too.
The indictment says Franklin, specifically, knew that by divulging both
Classified and Top Secret information that he could "cause irreparable injury to
the United States" and that this information may very well be used to the
advantage of a foreign nation" (specifically, Israel). In 2001, he
attested to being cognizant of this; and had since been given repeated warnings
of the consequences for engaging in such behavior. Nevertheless, probably
due to the fact that AIPAC has long been allowed to go unchecked within
Washington as a result of its incredible plutocratic influence over politicians,
Franklin allegedly gave such Classified information to AIPAC heads Steven Rosen
(AIPAC's Director of Foreign Policy) and Keith Weissman (AIPAC's Senior Middle
East Analyst).
Consequently, according to the indictment, the three "did unlawfully, knowingly
and willfully conspire, confederate and agree together and with others, known
and unknown to the Grand Jury, to commit the following offenses against the
United States."
What follows is a long list of charges, essentially covering all the offenses
involved in sharing such information with Israel, contrary to U.S. law. It
tells of how AIPAC's heads "would cultivate relationships with Franklin and
others and would use their contacts within the U.S. government and elsewhere to
gather sensitive U.S. government information, including classified information
relating to the national defense, for subsequent unlawful communication,
delivery and transmission to persons not entitled to receive it."
According to the indictment, Franklin had been monitored for some time. He
would "meet at locations in the Eastern District of Virginia and elsewhere" to
exchange "classified information relating to national defense." These
meetings between AIPAC's heads and government officials had been watched since
about June 11, 1999, when Weisman reportedly obtained a "'Secret FBI, classified
FBI report' on the Khobar Towers bombing."
Reading all the charges takes a little time, as the indictment itself is 26
pages long. Undoubtedly, even then, it appears to have gone through
considerable effort to keep it short.
AIPAC's heads have been staying busy.
AIPAC--Israel's premiere lobby--and many other Israel-first activists have long
been engaging in such illegal activities. For those unfamiliar with these
incidents, 22-year veteran Congressman Paul Findley's books (such as "Deliberate
Deceptions" and "They Dare to Speak Out") are testimonials to the incredible
influence of Israel's lobby, which virtually dictates America's foreign policy
decisions, always getting what it wants. The brilliant economist Dr.
Thomas Stauffer reported in the Christian Science Monitor that the support for
Israel has cost America at least $1.6 trillion. For those short on time
but interested in learning more about this, you can view my interview with Rep.
Paul Findley online for free here (112MB
file).
Some may wonder why AIPAC itself isn't being charged and why the government is
focusing its efforts on Weissman, Franklin, and Rosen. While you can only
speculate in this matter, it is probably because the government realizes that if
it were to simply destroy AIPAC, which would probably not be too difficult,
Jewish plutocrats working abroad and within the U.S. under various other
political action committees would immediately assume control and be back to
their ways within days.
By leaving the large organization AIPAC intact--yet crippling it somewhat by
making its leaders accountable--the government thereby has a greater impact
through its efforts. (One can recall the disastrous effects in the 1950s
when the government sought to stop some of the pro-Bolshevik groups by banning
them, and how these groups simply changed their names or joined other similar
organizations and were back to their ways within a short period of time.) Simply
put, these government efforts are certain to make AIPAC's new heads question
their efforts, helping to ensure that they're compliant with the law, though
they'll undoubtedly remain a strong foreign influence on this nation's
electorate.
What will become of this when all is said and done?
Again, you can only guess.
Franklin, who is reportedly not Jewish but is said to be a strong supporter of
Zionism and Israel's every needs, is likely to be imprisoned.
Of course, there remains much speculation as to what, if anything, will truly
occur to Rosen and Weissman. Israel has long allowed Jews who have
committed crimes in the U.S. to flee there to avoid prosecution. In fact,
many Jews who have even murdered U.S. citizens--and even some child
molesters--have fled to Israel to enjoy its non-extradition of any and all Jews
to any foreign country. Will Rosen and Weissman follow suit? This
remains to be seen.
Whatever the case, as long as "something happens," it's certain to make many
people happy--particularly those who have watched Israel's political action
committees parade around Washington, take secrets, and walk away with impunity.
